And this is what Humans will look like in the Future

One Possible Evolution Theory

There are many different theories suggesting different ways that humans will evolve. Some scientists dedicated their life to finding clues as to where we came from, and where we will be in thousands of years. Darwin's theory states that natural selection will take it's course, while others think that humans have already reached their peak. A select few believe we will evolve to adapt to our increasingly more toxic environment, names unknown. I have my own theory, and it included several pieces of other evolution theories. I believe humans will adapt to their surroundings as well, but mostly because of our reliance on technology.

Some theories state that animals evolve faster in an isolated environment, and we do. But they also state that we are living in a connected world, and we're not isolated at all. They are wrong. With new technological advances in networking, humans are able to share information worldwide. We're more isolated than ever before. Spending more time in our homes and offices, on cell phones and laptops, slowly we're cutting ourselves off from each other. And with advances in motion sensing technology, eventually we won't have to move at all in order to communicate.

Over the next thousand years, humans will begin to look different. Natural selection will play the first role like in Darwin's theory. We will all be the same color, most likely a light brown. Humans will also reflect what most look for in a mate today. Men will have more chiseled features and naturally muscular bodies. Women will have hourglass shaped bodies and more feminine, smaller facial features. These aren't the only changes you'll be able to recognize. Humans will begin to show early signs of major bodily changes, depending on available technology of course.

Over thousands of years, our bodies will begin to change. Technological advances in communication will eventually eliminate the need for verbal communication. Our mouths and vocal cords will start to shrink. And since the senses of animals exist in a balance, our eyes will begin to grow larger because of visual communication. Humans are born natural predators and we always will be, so our eyes will always face forward. Our ears will most likely stay the same since we use them to process information from other sources besides a voice and of course for balance.

Our senses will also most likely develop new ways to sense potential health threats. Our sense of smell will be heightened and able to detect elevated levels of carbon dioxide and other green house gases. The yes will most like develop a way to sense ultraviolet light, increasing our chances of survival in a polluted world.

Much further down the line, humans will most likely develop a different way to communicate. Communication will rely on a series of facial expressions and eye movements. It may develop even further. Since our bodies naturally produce electricity, the use of some sort of built in natural radio communication could be in our future. That's just crazy talk though! That would take millions of years, if it ever happened.

Humans will also become hairless. Since the introduction of central heating and warm clothing, we will no longer have the need of built in insulation. The hair on our heads, face, and body, will all eventually disappear. With no need for hair, there will be no need for fat insulation either. Assuming that we will still have an abundant food source.

Our reliance on technology will continue to change the human race as we know it, causing us to become more and more lazy. Our ability to get along will also play a big part. Our muscles will start to shrink, and our most used extremedies will elongate. Legs will become shorter, and feet smaller. Arms and fingers will become longer, reducing our need to reach. The number of nerve endings in our hands and fingers will dramatically increase due to the increased use of our fingers and devices that require complex eye hand coordination.

Reading other's theories on evolution has always interested me. Learning about human evolution is absolutely fascinating, and it's crazy to think about the different possibilities. By combining logic with imagination you can come up with your own theories. Are they the same, or slightly different?

Unless something changes, everyone will also end up obese. Great article. Got me thinking.

Enjoyed reading your hub. It's a very interesting subject to speculate on. Your future humans sound very typically extra terrestrial - not surprising perhaps.Up & Interesting.

Rob, you know what's funny is that I didn't visualize what we'd look like first. I thought everything through and wrote it first, then realized that yes, we're going to look like little light brown aliens with colored eyes. I'm glad you picked that up.

Hmmm....The number of fingers will have to increase to keep up with the technology and the ability to multi-task.

13 fingers on each hand? One for each letter haha.

I hate to sound pessimistic but I doubt that we will survive our own obsession with destroying ourselves! I see it more of a de-evolution and yet this was a great read!

Haha I love the comment of 13 fingers on each hand :-) Our typing speeds will surely be humongous!!.

Really interesting hub, wouldn't it be great to peer into the future and see what lies ahead for us? I heard now since they discovered the speed of light is not the fastest speed after all, that time travel is possible, whohooo!
